Hello,
I paid for talk, text, data. I'm in South Carolina and text and talk seems to be working, but data doesn't. Some apps seems to work like Telegram but my GPS or Google maps, or Google, or Instagram or social media don't work.
It didn't happen before. I spent 2 months in South Carolina in spring time and never had a problem!
I've heard switching from 5G to something else might work, so the question is how do I do it on Pixel 7?
Please help! 🙏
Thank you

@Winegrape That's great. I'm assuming you were connected to AT&T 5G, which doesn't work right now. TMobile 5G is fine, but it's easier just to set it to 4G preferred so that as you automatically bounce between T-Mobile and AT&T you don't have to worry about losing your data connection.

Thank you especially for the picture! It's really helpful! 🙂 it seems to be working when I switched to LTE from 5G, but I'll double check it tomorrow

Thank you for your help! I think it's working now, but I'll test it tomorrow as well. I changed settings from 5G to LTE

Two finger swipe down from the top of the screen > Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > Public Mobile > Preferred Network Type > LTE (or 4G).
And make sure Data Roaming is on.

It is actually Unusual to see some apps can use mobile data and some don't. It doesn't sound like a network or roaming issue but sound more like an app settings issue. Do you have some data restrictions settings on each app?
Please check if you have Data saver on, try turning it off
and for roaming , it is in fact BEST not to use 5G network, staying with 4G is a safer bet. And I suggest you actually change the network type from Automatic to 4G and see if it helps
To change the Preferred network type on Pixel 7:
Press Internet. Press the settings icon. Press Preferred network type. Press the required network mode.
