I am feeling so angry I am in the US and have purchase 3G of data and it is not working at all.  My phone won't load and I can't use it when I am out.  I did it last month and it was fine but since we arrived in Florida nope.  It has been a waste of money and of course with public there is no one to talk to. Any suggestions or answers?

sign in to Self-Serve, to review your account, if you found at Available Funds: $$

Try To Purchase Add-Ons Using Your Self-Serve Account

To purchase Add-Ons using your Self-Serve account, follow these steps:

  1. Click on ‘Purchase Add- Ons’ on the Overview tab and scroll down to the Add-On calculator.
  2. Click the plus sign (+) to add and the minus sign (-) to remove selected Add-ons.
  3. When you’ve added all your desired Add-Ons, click ‘Buy Add-Ons’ or ‘Make a Payment’ below the calculator:
    • You will see ‘Make a Payment’ instead of ‘Buy Add-Ons’ if there are not enough funds in your account to make the purchase.
    • If you don’t have sufficient funds to purchase the Add-Ons, you will be asked to make a one-time payment equal to the price of the Add-On, less your current available funds. Click ‘Submit’, then ‘Go back’: now the button below the calculator will say ‘Buy Add-Ons’.
  4. Select ‘Confirm my purchase’, and you’re off to the races!
  5. after you Add-on you have to do Rebooting your phone

what is mean for Rebooting the phone means to turn off your phone and turn it back on again.

@traceytwa   did you try to connect both T-Mobile and AT&T?  Try to connect to both of them and see which one get you better signal

@traceytwa

Log into your account and check your balance. Do you see $60? $40? $20? Or $0?

  1. If you see $60 you have only added funds to your balance.
  2. If you see $40 you have likely purchased the $20/1gb US roaming add on. Check both your transaction history for the purchase to appear beside your manual top up amount. Then check your add ons page for the US 1gb roaming add on data counter. If you can confirm these 2 lines confirming the purchase log out . Reboot. Check that mobile data and roaming is enabled. Then manually select either at&t or T-Mobile.
  3. If you see $20 you may have only added funds once or....?
  4. If you see $0? Or $15? You may have added multiple $15/1gb data add ons for Canada only.

If you have purchased the wrong add ons contact customer support and explain your mistake and ask for a credit. You can also have them add the correct US roaming add on. It will expire 240 hours later.

You will have to wait a minimum 24 hours after expiry to repurchase or contact customer support to repurchase it within that 24 hour one period as only 1 US roaming add on of the same kind can be purchased at any one time.

Can you show a screen shot of your overview page? That way we know what you purchased else all you will get is conjecture and speculation.

Us roaming plans are valid only for 10 days then need to be renewed typically one day after expirery

@traceytwa : So you would be familiar with the two steps to buy an add-on.

Did you turn on data roaming? Did you turn on your data? Did your data previously work in Canada? Do you have any signal? Can you manually scan for and find and connect to either AT&T or T-Mobile.

Edit: And you bought only 1 roaming bucket of data? And you bought the roaming data not the in-Canada data?
