US network only shows up as SOS

ErikB

My wife and I both switched to Public Canada/ Us/Mexico plan last year. I have been to the USA 4 times, no issues. My iPhone 13 has been working seamlessly between Canada and USA, this time I only get SOS connectivity, my wife is connected to T-Mobile, we are gone for at least 3 months. I reset SIM card, reset network settings, rebooted. It worked once for a few hours but now nothing I do works. I have tried to submit a ticket and triple checked all the information but I can’t submit a ticket. I will pay more for a support number when I get back. Help, any suggestions are welcome.

@ErikB

which network you tried and was able to connect for couple hours?
where in US you are?

it could be a weak network in the area if you can connect for couple hours.  I suggest you to reboot the phone and try to connect all 3 networks again and stay: T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon

What do you mean you "reset sim card"? Did you delete your esim? That would explain the SOS. If that's the case you'll need to download a new SIM card.

Even if you didn't have a proper roaming plan, you shouldn't be getting SOS in the US unless you were connected to a provider that was not a roaming partner. Generally speaking AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon are the roaming partners in the US, but Verizon can be hit and miss.

Try to reboot your phone and then turn on roaming an pick your provider

Change the Network Connection to Manual and manually select AT&T and Verizon, see which one works

Of course, make sure your turn on Roaming Mobile Data on the phone
