I recall adding US add-on and it only activating when I was in the States, so bought it in advance this time only to discover the clock started already while still in Canada. Can I stop the clock until I need it?

Add-ons are live as soon as they are purchased. You can contact the CSA's and they may be able to work something out for you. YOu will need to raise a trouble ticket through the chatbot.

@Jonnyzim - roaming addons start as soon as you buy them, and last 15 days. You cannot stop the clock on this.
If you are not in the USA and haven't used it yet, you could ask if CSA will reverse it and credit your account. no guarantees.
