US Roaming plan

Hey There.  Have used the US talk and text plan in Maui over the past couple of years....Wonderful!  However, after the 15 days are up, there is a very big problem getting another 15 day plan working right away.  Is it possible to prepay for 3 or 4 - 15 day plans to run consecutively to make it simple while I am away?

@kenn1 I know the preference is to use your PM number but not wanting data, you can get two 30 day/3GB US plans for $32 CDN total. That's half the price of the 4 US Talk and Text add ons. When I travel outside US and now Mexico and use Airalo with TextNow (free), I let the people who might need to get a hold of me know what my new number will be for the time I'm away.

@kenn1, your $15 plan is a unicorn, it's no longer offered to customers (except for new customers in Quebec). If you ever have thoughts about changing your plan just be aware that if you switch out of it you will never be able to get it back

look like OP wants to have talk and text on  the PM number which travel data esim wont help

@kenn1 If your phone is esim capable, you should check out travel esims like Airalo. US plan of 30 days/10GB for $38CDN. Use TextNow for calls. Two of those for $76 CDN for your trip vs 4 PM add ons for $120 and the hassle of having to wait 24 hours each time.

Edit: Just saw post below about wanting PM number so disregard.

It's ridiculous in today's day and age that PM can't fix this. When I buy travel e-sims, I can top up the plan before the old one expires. It sits there in my account until the current plan ends/runs out/expires. It's then implemented seamlessly.

I currently have a very inexpensive plan, totals $15.80/mo.  so altering my monthly plan long term isn't an option.  I don't need data and to add talk minutes is only $5 for 500 mins.  In the past 5 years, I've only had to do it once!

what plan do you have now?

a 52 consecutive days means 4 add-ons period already.  depends on your current plan, it might or might not be better for the US roaming plan

but no, there is no way to buy couple roaming addon ahead.  You really need to ask PM to help to re-purchase after one is done

I only need the plan for 52 consecutive days..... once a year.  I just find the 24 hour delay between activations to be irritating.

@kenn1 unfortunately not, but you can try messaging a support agent to see if there is something on their end that can be done to have multiple similar add-ons setup to run

You will need to open a ticket through the Chatbot:
https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html
(and then type: Customer Support Agent)

Or, if you are having trouble with the Chatbot try sending a private message to:

(note: you will need to be logged into your Community account for this link to work)

no, you have to either wait 24 hours after the 15 days expired, or you have to ask PM to help to re-purchase another addon

but when don't you join one of those Canada/US/Mexico plan? it is much cheaper longer term as the US roaming is already included.    They have $29, $35, $45 and $55 (although you might only see $45 and $55 on your My Account as PM does not allow everyone to have full access to all plans)
