US Roaming Plan Canceled Prematurely

On my last trip to the US, I purchased a 30-day voice/text/data plan.  It worked fine when I arrived in the US, but I then took a 21-day cruise and when I returned I had no service.  Why did this happen and what can I do about it?

@kb_mv I purchased the plan in Canada on the day I flew to the US.  I started the 21-day cruise one day later.  I'm not sure when the plan is supposed to expire, but by my calculation no more than 23 days elapsed before I returned to the US.  I am certain that I bought the $40 plan for 30 days.  I did so because I wanted to have the service available when I returned.  Unfortunately, that didn't happen.  I didn't try rebooting my phone,  but I don't see why that should make any difference.  My phone did detect the presence of the AT&T network,  it just wouldn't connect to it.

@irwin_allen Your plan should still have been active after your cruise. The suggestion to reboot the phone is so the phone is forced to do it's start up routine which would include looking for and connecting to a network. It may work, it may not. Sometimes it's good to restart your phone, same for computer. On your cruise did any of the stops include Mexico? Did you try and manually connect to a network at all? What was displayed at the top of your screen? No service? SOS? I doubt that CS will do anything for you as it did work on day one and on day 23 it didn't. All they can do is say no so contact them as indicated by @hairbag1 . Hope it works out for you.

@irwin_allen The 30 days starts counting as soon as you buy it. How many days ahead of your cruise did you purchase it? This may be a silly question but are you sure you purchased the 30 day as opposed to the 15 day plan?

@irwin_allen

did you attempt to re-boot your cellphone when it wouldn't connect ?  As it did work for you, I don't think they'll give you refund or credit but you can ask. Click the orange chat bubble on lower right side of page to start the process.
