US Roaming Add-On

I have 3 days left on my US Roaming, but can not make a call, send or receive a text.  I have turned off and on my phone, and am connected to T-mobile here in Florida.

 

We have been using the same package for the last 4-5 years as seasonal residents in Florida and it has always worked good.

 

Hope someone can help me.

In the US pm customers using roaming add ons or on the $60 Canada/US Roaming legacy plan can only use T-Mobile's 2G network for voice calls until telus implements VOLTE calling for pm customers. Being able to connect to their 2G network is location specific as Florida doesn't have great 2G network coverage compared to the rest of the eastern seaboard. However you shouldn't have any issue with text messages as they use the 4G LTE network and incoming pm texts can be recieved without any US Roaming add on at all. Did the problem occur after your last renewal? If so it could be a provisioning issue with your Sim card. Contact customer support and ask them to reset your account and reprovision your Sim card to your account. If that fixes your texting (and the calling as well if that has only been problem alongside the texting issue) then I would also ask for a credit for your inability to use your roaming services.

Make sure you're viewing up to date information on the self-serve site.

 

Open an incognito tab before logging in to view the add-on details, and refresh the login screen when logged in to be certain.

@PerryGB was it working well the first 7 days?

 

US has shutdown 3G network ast year and hence your experience could be different.  We got mixed reports about voice in Florida using TMobiles 2G network 

 

Text should not be an issue but Voice could be a trouble

 

you see you now connected to TMobile? 

do you have your Preferred network set to Automatic? you can try to set it to 2G to see if it connects and see if you can make calls that way

@PerryGB  try restarting your phone, or perform a reset of the device's network settings.

 

Also, is your plan currently in ACTIVE status? You must have any public mobile plan in ACTIVE status to be able to use any type of addon services.

Check your My Account to be sure is says ACTIVE.
