My Public Mobile plan has Canada and US phone and data service. When I’m in the US, I don’t seem to be able to use the Internet or have data roaming access although phone and text seems to work.
I went to settings/cellular/cellular data, but there’s no toggle to activate Data Roaming on my iPhone 11. It only shows me the Public Mobile network with a checkmark next to it.
on my friends iPhone 16 on the Bell network, when he goes to settings/cellular/cellular data, he has the Data Roaming toggle option.
How do I activate Data enrollment Data Roaming on my iPhone as a PUblic Mobile customer?

@Deb44 , Mine is different on my iPhone 16 Pro! I go into Settings, Cellular, click on Public Mobile, scroll down toggle on Data Roaming. I don’t go into the Cellular Data section to toggle on Data Roaming. That section is to turn on Cellular Data only (which also has to be turned on for Cellular Data to work).

PM does not hide the toggle for Roaming data nor the Network Connection (manual vs automatic), so at this point, it is more a device issue

I tried resetting the network but that didn’t work. I’ll head to an Apple Store and see if they can figure it out.

the fact that you don't see the Roaming toggle shows it is s a device issue and not a PM account issue
you can test your sim card on your friend's phone to confirm. Also, you should also test your friend's sim on your phone

Thanks for the reply. Before I Reset Network Setting, is it possible that my account was mistakingly set up not to have US data? I got a text that said I needed to buy roaming, but in the manage subscription section of the app, it does indicate I have 50 gigs of data for Canada US in Mexico

To turn on data roaming on an iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data), > Cellular Data , you will see a toggle for "Data Roaming" that you can switch on.
To manually change the mobile network on an iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular > Network Selection and toggle off the "Automatic" switch. Wait for a list of available carriers to appear, then tap the one you want to connect to. (test all 3 US network, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile)
If you don't see those option , try Reset Network Settings first and check again
To reset your iPhone's network settings, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
