I have done this once, in a way. I went from the $40 plan to a $50 plan when I ran out of data, BEFORE the end of my 30 days. but I am out of data again. Woe is me.
I have $50 credit in my account, and just wish to reboot the plan from today as Day One. Same plan, 50 bucks, 8 gigs of data.
I can go select the plan, choose "Change my plan now", and it seems to process, but nothing happens, and no money is deducted from my balance.
Any ideas, party people?

@Wolftrackeras mentioned, you can save some money. Public mobile isn't ideal for big data users like yourself.
Telus has a promo offer right now. <20 gb for $75> or <15 gb for $65> depending on which province you reside in, valid until august 24th.

@Wolftracker maybe looking at Telus may be the better option for your wallet. I think Telus is offering $100/20gb+unlimited data/512kb or $75/10gb+unlimited data/512kb

Everybody always is, lol.
Cheers for the reply.

You can change plans all you want. It's the renewing same plan early that needs moderator help. Just no pro-rating/refunds for either. They'll happily take your money though.

Thanks for the reply, but my Wi-Fi problem is that I live on a boat, and I'm burning through data pretty quickly.
The $40 plan just didn't last the month, so I upgraded to the 50.
Which also didn't last 30 days.
Odd how it would let me do that online, but I can't restart at the same level.
There's a Ghost in the Machine.

@Wolftracker love how you refered to everyone as, "party people," LOL
If you are close to renewal it may make more sense to add 2GB for 30.00 or Restart another 40.00 plan today for 5GB of data.
Make sure that you select start right away but it does seem like you may have done ao already.
Otherwise if you still want to do the 50.00 plan immediatley, maybe speak with a moderator.
cheers

You are not changing your plan because you are renewing your $50 early before your next renewal date.
- You can change from your $50 plan to a $40 plan now. (Refer to option 1 below)
- But you need moderator support to renew your $50 early. (refer to option 2 below)
FYI Options to get more data:
1. If your current data limit does not meet your 30 days' need, you may change a plan with more data. You can do the plan from self-serve. You get your data back immediately with plan change.
2. If you want to renew the same plan early, you need to create a moderator support ticket using this link https://publicmobile.ca.ada.support/chat/. Moderator wait time is couple hours to 2 days. If your next renewal date is up to 2 days away, you may just on data diet for a few days until after renewal.
3. You can buy data add-ons $15 1GB data or $5 200MB data. Expensive option

@Wolftracker in order to renew the same plan early you have to conatact the moderators and ask them to to do it for you. There are 2 ways to contact the Moderator Team:
Once connected to Simon, you will be asked to log in again with your community user name and password. Please do, this allows you to continue and send your message.
- Check your private message sent box (click on the envelope top right of your screen) to make sure the message was sent.
- Keep an eye on the envelope top right of your screen. The mods answer will show up there. When it does, you will be asked to verify your self service account, with your password and login. Doing so allows the process to continue. Stay safe.
