I am transferring to chatr temporary, it’s the only provider in the area that has service for the next month or two while I am here. I am awaiting a text from public to confirm the port of my number chatr has assured me the request has been sent.
they have told me to contact public mobile to make sure the request has been received (as it has been sent twice now)

Just like handy an Phil said your going to need to put in a ticket. But be aware that there really busy right now trying to fix a bug in the system which is getting lots of ticket sent to them. So expect at least 24 hours to get a response.

I’ve tried that, only option I can find is for porting my number to public.
