@Aroussil  That is used as a backup number just in case your PM number is unreachable for a variety of reasons.

@Aroussil hi if you are trying to port your number from another provider (for example), they just need a number to contact you if there is a problem during your port in process

It asks for an alternate phone number to contact in case something goes wrong.

When requesting port, please provide account number and your exact name registered with the old provider account. Both accounts need to be active for the port to be successful.

And if you are porting over from Koodo prepaid, you will also need Moderator assistance to complete the port.
