Transferring number and now it's gone

Tried to buy an esim. Went through the whole process of transferring. Money taken out of bank account. Received an error 404 and now I can't access my phone number and am worried that I lost it

You will need to come back to the community to check your private  messages for a reply periodically.

That’s how I did it to begin with. I went through the process on the app to transfer my number onto public mobile using eSIM - after entire process complete, including confirmation email, I got a message saying eSIM could not be activated. I think I may have accidentally deleted the unable to activate eSIM and I don’t want to lose my number.
