Transfer my number failed. How to fix the issue?

Hi All,

I tried to transfer my number from Virgin to Public Mobile today, and received the following message from Public Mobile during the transfer:

"Hey, it's Public Mobile. We're having trouble transferring your number. Looks like you entered an incorrect ESN/MEID. Someone from our team will contact you shortly using your original phone number or the alternate number provided. You can also get in touch via our virtual assistant at: https://publicmobile.ca.ada.support/chat"

I think my transfer is failed and do not know what to do for next step.

Could anyone give me some instructions?

Hi @Jackie_yu27 ,

You may have entered your ESN/MED number wrong but maybe the system has an error. Here is a link to talk to a Public Mobile CS agent and they should be able to help you click the link below.

To check if you put in correct number on iPhone go to settings, then general then about and scroll down and you’ll see ESN and then you also see MEID number. On android go to settings then scroll down and click about then click status, and then there you should see that ESN and MEID numbers.
