I am currently selling a business that the public mobile number is important in customer contact. How do I transfer the number to the purchaser of the business? I have a physical SIM card with public mobile if that matters

You will need to contact customer support to remove your credit card info unless you can sit down with the new owner and access the account to replace your credit card info with theirs.
This may be desirable as you can help them navigate the account and update the requisite info with theirs and show them how to change the account PIN # and email address and update the eversafe ID.
Giving them a crash course on the Community and how to contact customer support would be helpful. If they wish to change the username of your community profile they will need to contact customer support so you could guide them through the process. Then hand over the sim card and ensure they have an unlocked phone (all phones produced after December 2017 should be unlocked.)

This is only a matter of handing over the login information for the Public Mobile self serve account. Give the SIM card to the new owner of the phone number. If desired, the name and e-mail address associated with the Public Mobile account can be changed.

Change your account information and credit card, and give your business’s buyer the SIM card.
