Yesterday I transferred my Bell mobility number over to PM. I followed instructions found in the videos and online - set up a PM account and subscription, paid and received an eSIM with my subscription. I then chose the option in my account to transfer my bell number. I kept the Bell SIM in and received a text message, confirmed the transfer, it seems that it worked and the phone number no longer appears on my bell account. However if I take the physical SIM out my phone my preferred number does not show in my phone settings under cellular - only the PM number I chose to set up the subscription. I want to keep my phone number and get rid of the one I chose from PM just to set up the account and be able to remove the Bell SIM. What do I need to do to only have my preferred number, and have the cellular data plan apply only to my preferred number and delete the PM number? Currently whether the bell SIM is in or not under my phone settings. The cellular data only shows under the new PM number.

Rebooting my phone did it - thank you so much!

Thank you! I removed the bell SIM. Now the number that I want to keep shows as “used as primary, no SIM”. The PM number I chose for set up shows as using cellular data and is on. It won’t give me an option to set it as primary. I also worry if I find a way to set it as primary that it will use this new number rather than the one I want to keep.

hi @Ali471
remove the Bell sim.
go to PM sim and make sure it is enabled, set as Primary. Then Reboot phone and click Reset network settings
next test inbound and outbound calls and text and data. When you make outbound calls, check if the receiving end sees the correct number
