There are no port protection on PM.
It is all up to you and your new carrier.
You - Kept up with monthly payment on your PM account.
You - Leave your PM in your phone and reply to the text with YES within the 90 minute window.
New Carrier - Contact PM confirming you are porting over to them once you replied to the text.
Your PM SIM will continue to work until the porting process is completed…up to 2 hours. Power off your phone and swap the SIM then power back on.

Support is to be provided by the new provider. All this ends needs to be is active and for you to reply to the text on this sim in a phone.

@Sierrazor111 All you need to do is start the port with new provider leaving the PM SIM card in the phone . You will get a confirmation text from PM that you need to reply YES to . You will have 90 mins to do so .

There isn't any porting protection other than a text message that Public Mobile sends for your response. With a working Public Mobile service, Public Mobile's custoemr support agents generally don't need to be contacted to port out. Proceed with the porting procedure initiated from your new carrier and reply to the text message from Public Mobile. You'll only need to open a ticket if you're unable to receive that text message from Public Mobile.
