Ok so I activated my SIM card successfully and chose a new number because I was with Koodo. I ported my number over by using the self serve "Change number" option and everything went over smoothly.However, now when I try to activate my wife's SIM card and enter my phone number in the refer box I'm getting the message "The number entered does not belong to a valid Public Mobile Subscriber."
Does anyone know if I need to wait 24 hours or something before public mobile recognizes my number or would a moderator be able to help? @Mary_M.

I tried again this morning and it worked. So if others are having this problem just wait the next day and it should work.

That maybe exactly the case. I had the problem also, and had a ticket setup that took 1-2 weeks to resolve. You've tagged a moderator already, so they should be able to assist.
i would be tempted to try again tomorrow or the next day if it isn't urgent to set up the second account, but you may wish sooner.
