Texts not appearing in conversations

Hello,

New text messages have stopped showing up in my messaging app. They briefly appear as a notification at the top of my screen only. I can send messages, but they don't appear in the chat window. I've tried restarting my phone, taking out the battery and SIM, but to no avail. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone. Please help! Thanks.

Resetting the date on my phone resolved the problem! Thank you so much for all of your time and efforts. I greatly appreciate it 😄

@mercurial, Any chance the date/time on your phone is really off?  Saw a couple of things on-line mentioning this.

You can try clearing the cache for the messaging app:

@mercurial, the fact that you are seeing a notification would lead me to believe that the problem is on the phone, and not the PM network.  Are you using the stock messaging app?  Any chance you have blocked the sender(s)?
