Hi Everyone,
As of yesterday approximately mid day my texts stopped sending. I can still recieve them but all the one i have attempted to send say "sending..." and have for over a day now. (Data and phone calls appear to work fine). I can recieve texts without issue.
This has been tried with multiple different numbers including my own.
As of midnight my plan changed from one of the 30 days to a 90 days that includes data. This problem started prior to plan change (though it was in cue for almost a month before then) and i have verified that the new plan does infact include texting.
I have not changed any settings in my phone in the last 48 hours taht would explain this.
Anyone able to help?
Edit: Acer Liquid Z320, Andoird Lollipop 5.1, messaging program is the default android one.

Soft absolutely. I really don't want to clear my phone's data if i can avoid it.
I'm finding I'm prefering messenger anyways. So Thank you all for your help i'll just keep using Messenger. (too bad i can't delete the old one...)

Try clearing out the cache for the messages app (through settings)

Thank you @NDesai that worked. (Why didn't i think of that?)
Why would the previous one suddently stop working? I checked it hasn't updated recently.

Have you tried using another messaging app like Google Messenger?
