Text message not working

It’s been 8 hours since number transferred and cannot send and receive text messages

are you getting SMS text or iMessage text?  Facetime usually goes together with iMessage

you can follow the steps above to re-register iMessage/Facetime

Yep tried these many times already

I’m now able to send and receive text message finally but FaceTime still can’t yet.  Maybe it needs more time ?

can you confirm if you can receive inbound calls? sometimes a text message issue is caused by incomplete port

and do you have an Android or iPhone?  Try this:

if you have an iPhone, you can:
Go to Settings on your phone, Then to Messages/FaceTime, Switch iMessage/FaceTime OFF
And go to Settings, then Phone and then My Number to remove the phone number
Wait 5 minutes and reboot the phone
Then go to  Settings, Phone, My number and put the number back
And go to Settings, Message/FaceTime and turn iMessages/FacekTime back ON again 
Wait for it to finish activating in iMessage

But if yours is an Android:
uninstall Google Message 
Reboot phone and reinstall (or update) the Google Message from Play Store. 
You might also want to go to Google Message Settings menu and make sure RCS is enable and registered

Since you just transferred, good chance the number port didn't complete. Did you get a text message from your previous provider to approve port and reply to that?

@caringboy1018 , are you able to make and receive calls?  If so, there might be an issue with the texting app.  You could try deleting app cache and restarting the app.

tried reboot ? Also try a network reset.
