Telus hub

I just activated my sim for 30 days to try out PM's data and phone plan before I opt for the 90 days. I'm primarily interested in data and have two Telus hubs - an older Sierra that I'm using for testing, and a newer Huawei B882 that I will use as my main hub. After activating the sim and booting the Sierra hub, I'm unable to connect to the 3G network (the older Sierra hum doesn't handle 4g). I've changed the APN in the hub from Telus default (isp.telus.com) to PM's sp.mb.com and rebooted again but the 3g connection status shows N/A. I've also tried using isp.mb.com but the result is the same. If I use the Telus default settings, it shows 3g as "disconnected". Do I need to wait longer for activation or are there other settings that might affect the hub? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer. Alex

Thanks for the prompt reply.  Did find a solution by digging into the settings a bit more.  It seems that the default 3g setting for a new APN is "OFF".  Setting it to "aways on" solved the problem and I'm now online with the hub for testing.  Will try it on 4g with the Huawai hub in a day or two.

Hubs are tricky to set up though some have reported success. Try your SIM in a phone so you can be sure the account activated properly.

Here is the only success story I know: Hub set up

Activation usually done by the time you log out of your account if you were able to complete the payment.

Good luck.
