Can I transfer my line from another provider to Public Mobile but the old line is not under my name (under my wife's name)?

FIRST confirm if your number is transferrable. Open a ticket with agent and inquire to avoid surprises.

yes, you can, doesn't really matter.  Just make sure the number with the current carrier is active

if it is a mobile line, you need to be able to receive the port authorization text and reply yes on the old carrier sim

if it is landline, no text approval needed, but it will take longer, like 3 to 7 days
