I just left the area where I work and it's a lot better now.
Thanks for everyone's input!

Having a 5G plan is not a dependency to access the 5G network; even the 3G plans can use the 5G network, it's just speeds that will be deliberately throttled. So you switching plans should have had no negative impact. Worst case it would have been status quo, but more likely you should see improved speeds, assuming good coverage.
It sounds like you need to change your Preferred Network type.

I'm using the Pixel 7 and on the lastest firmware. I been switching between automatically choosing network and manually choosing Public and still LTE for both.. I'm in Richmond/Vancouver, BC where there should be good coverage

@thisteven What phone do you have does it support 5G ? Are you in 5 lG area and do you have your network set to 5G
Add also note even with 5G plan on LTE you should still get 5G speed @thisteven 3G4Gand 5G all have to do with the speed of your plan and you can access 5G on a 3G plan but only get the 3G speed

I changed my plan roughly 5-6 hours ago and at the top of my phone still shows LTE

@thisteven It should be immediately . It used to be it could take up to 48 hours to see the speed difference but that has no changed . Maybe just try rebooting the phone . Could just be local isssue or weak signal
