Hello, I switched from Cityfone to Public mobile two days ago. There were some issues with porting, Cityfone doesn't send a confirmation text for the port which has caused some problems. I can't send or receive SMS to anyone. imessages go through to other iphone users but no SMS.
I have an esim,
I've removed the sim from the old carrier.
I've tried restarting my phone,
I've turned on Send as SMS when Imessage is unavailable
Nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

I would suggest calling the Porting team so that they could retrigger the porting process for you. It appears like the transfer is stuck but they can restart the process. The number will be sent to your community inbox so keep an eye on the little envelop icon for an incoming message. Unfortunately, we cannot post phone numbers in the main community page.
After contacting the porting team, if you still encounter issues, I would recommend submitting a ticket to the customer service team for further support. You can use the link below to submit a ticket.

yes, you need to work with PM on this
but you can still try something. Go to your iMessage setup, turn off send as sms first, reboot. Then go back and turn it on again
then test with a new text, better to test with a number that you have not tried yet, rather than continuing on one you texted before

Yes I can phone people and they can call me no issues. It's not a physical sim, it's an esim. I've created a ticket with PM that says I have issues with text messaging.
Their first response was what is your issue? I repeated that I'm having issues with SMS and can't send and receive. They replied you can't send and receive SMS?
30-60 minute wait time between messages for the CS agent to repeat my question 3 times.

you sure you can receive phone calls?
if it is just sms problem, and if you have physical sim card, try it on a different phone.
but you might want to ask PM to confirm if everything all setup, just open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen
