I am trying to switch to public mobile - I did the activation process but at the end it  says my subscription wasn’t able to be activated

hi @Kade1234 

try to reboot the phone and relogin the app 

and check if your PM esim is installed on you phone, enable it 

last , if you need PM to check, message them ,
