Strange caller ID

• Has anyone had this and know a fix? Some are known contacts in my contacts list but sometimes caller ID shows strange characters.

No, phone was purchased in Canada and has been no issue on the bell network for years before switching to Public.

The name on the caller ID is normally associated with what the person / entity registered as with the telecommunication provider at the time of activation. The example mentioned above probably denotes that it is a foreign caller that does not use our alphabet characters.

hi @SkaT is that your contact with weird characters added? or a contact you have no idea at all?

 PM does not send name with caller id, so, it is your phone tgat tried to find the name from the number.  If it is an unknown contact, just ignore
