Sporadically not receiving text messages

Hi there,

It seems I am only sporadically receiving text messages on my Samsung Galaxy S5 - can someone from PM help me look into this? Thanks.

No I have always had an Android.

Any chance you recently moved from an iPhone to your Android phone?

Am using the factory texting app from Samsung.

No  variety of different people in different a variety of provinces (including my own province), so not any specific carrier, either.

Are you using the default/stock messaging app on the samsung, or have you installed a new messaging app (Textra, chomp, android messages, ect)

Not sure it is a hardware issue, but it is difficult to test as it only happense sporadically. Are there hidden settings (APN?) that I could try resetting or something similar?

Are they from a specific person(s) or specific carrier?

Have you tried sim in other phone?
It's sound like a hardware issue. Also try third party app like textra or other

Also, this issue has been happening for some time - did not realize some messages were not being received for some time.

I have tried rebooting, and hard resets to no avail. The phone is fully unlocked.

Try reboot also try sim in other phone if available to check if its service or hardware issue. Your Samsung was it originally freedom or other carrier
