Speed test results doesn’t match with the actual using experience

Hi,

I’m new to PM and I’m using the $34 60 GB 5G plan ,I was expecting a smoother and faster Internet experience due to its 5G, and it does show that when I was speed-testing, but when I’m watching streaming content like YouTube or Netflix it gets really slow and laggy to be honest it’s noticeably worse than my previous 4G data plan.

is it normal? anybody having the same issue?

The loaded latencies in that speedtest look quite bad. I haven't paid attention, not sure how that compares to the typical/average. May want to try limiting your phone to a 4G connection to see if you get a better experience.

hi @Oliver123

there has been multiple reports from different sites that Telus, parent company of PM and the system PM uses, has traffic control with video.

But I used to watch video and I think it is acceptable.  When I watch video on my phone, I don't really care to have 4K on such a small screen

258 download is very good

Some people did say Telus seems to be throttle the speed for streaming video.  You might want to try using VPN if avoid that.
