Your old SIM will continue to work until porting is completed. Once it stops working then you can remove the old SIM and put in the new PM SIM.

@GG59 if you are transferring in your number from another provider then you will need to wait until you receive the confirmation text from the old provider, you will have 90 minutes to respond YES to the transfer, after that you can insert your new Public Mobile SIM and periodically test by calling it with another phone to see if it rings. If you are getting a new phone number then you can insert the new PM SIM after you have activated the account.

after you got the text from the old carrier, and reply, you can wait an hour and try putting the. sim in the phone and test both inbound and outbound calls . If still not able to receive inbound, reboot the phone eveyone 30 mins and test again
