I need to use another phone (samsung s7) temporarily and i keep getting sim network unlock pin. How do i obtain this pin so I can activate my phone?

@Handy1 Public Mobile would not be able to provide this user with an Unlock code if it's Provider locked, based on the model I'm assuming thats the issue here since it's asking for an Unlock code when the SIM Is inserted.
The original Provider that the phone was purchased from must be contacted by the Account Holder to get this unlock code, otherwise the only other option is to use the Samsung Support Chat.

If you bought this device used or got it from someone as a hand me down or gift, you'll have to get the Original Account Holder to call the Provider the Device was purchased from to have it unlocked.
Thats why the Samsung Support Chat is best, they can unlock any Provider in Canada if you give them the IMEI Number.

This would mean that your Samsung S7 is locked to the Original Provider it was purchased from, you'll have to contact the provider that originally sold that phone to get the unlock code, and than you'll be able to use it with Public Mobile.
Any devices sold prior to 2017 are all Carrier locked if they weren't manually requested to be unlocked.
Since it's a Samsung, you can also use Samsung Support chat to have it unlocked and they'll be able to provide you the unlock code if you give them the IMEI Number.
