No sim card detected even though i have one in phone.

This keeps happening off and on.  Will sit for an hr and come on then work for 10 minutes and shut off

sayin no card. I have tried putting card in to other phones and it says same.  no card detected.

It did this about a month ago with same problem then started working and now its worse.

Pulled card in out and still no connection.

Total bummer

Try resetting the Network settings on your phone to see if that helps. Also, try the SIM in another phone to see if it has the same issue. If it is then it is your phone. So bring it into a cell repair shop to have it checked out. It should be free for a diagnostic.

Since the SIM card isn't being detected by the device as being in the phone, resetting the network settings wouldn't fix the issue.

Once that’s done wait few mins and reboot the phone that’s it @Peter27

hi @Peter27

Yes, we can guide you through

But a sim Public Mobile sim card from Telus or Koodo or MobileKlink store for $10 ( https://myaccount.publicmobile.ca/en/account/purchase-sim) or buy from Amazon for $5 ( https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06X9ZGDWG/

Then login My Account using browser, go to Profile page, click the pencil besides the sim card number and you can update the new sim card number there

Last reboot the phone and it should work

@Peter27  Maybe try pulling SIM card out and gently wiping down the contacts on it and try it again , if same might be broken SIM card and need to replace it , pick new one up from Telus Koodo store or order from Amazon . Then log into your account and sim swap the number
