If you're device supports esim, download the Public app, should be a way in there to obtain an esim.

Go to your Public Mobile account on your phone or website if you have an internet connection. In the app, go to Account and Report Lost/Stolen Device. Someone there can't use the sim overseas anyway, but reporting it as lost/stolen will prevent someone from using it if they take your sim card back to Canada, US, or Mexico.
You can buy a new SIM card from your account and Public Mobile will mail it to your address in Canada. I don't recommend using Amazon to buy a new sim card while you are overseas unless you get it sent to a friend's address becasuse Amaazon will deliver it to your home and probably leave it outside on your front steps. Or when you get back, you can go to a Telus store to buy a Public Mobile sim card.
Make sure to disable the lost/stolen feature and attach a new Public Mobile sim card before 90 days or your account will be closed.
