Short explaination of 4G vs LTE taken from internet

4G is somewhat vague, but it refers to fourth generation wireless data speeds faster than 3G, which in turn is faster than 2G. ... LTE or Long Term Evolution is the 4G wireless data format currently favored by most wireless carriers.

in short: 4G is LTE ...... the next generation would be 4Ga ( 4G advanced ) aka. LTE+ ( advanced LTE )

It's such a mess. Technically, we pretty much don't have any networks that really meet the requirements of true 4G, and yet, we not only display 4G for regular LTE, but also for HSPA!

It's really confusing.
