minimum plan is $19 for new subscribers.

esim is free and you can activate on they fly.  Download Public Mobile app and you can start subscription there

You must get Public Mobile sim..there is a Mobile Klinik in Windsor, (costs is about $10), then downlaod the Public Mobile app to activate your new account. You will need a valid Cdn credit / debit card to do so. Once you have a sim card, the activation process is quick. You can either select a new number or initiate porting your old number to your new account. Not sure what you meant by "zero down plans".

PM is an prepaid plan online so no zero down plan with a new phone. PM is also a Bring Your Own Device service.

The price of plans is less than a zero down plans.

All you need is pick a plan and purchase a $5 eSIM or you can purchase a SIM at Canadian Cell Supplies for $4 or from Amazon for $5 or $10 from a Telus/Koodo/Mobile Klinik store.
But make sure your phone is eSIM compatible. Lots of new members purchase an eSIM thinking it is cheaper and quicker getting an eSIM but later find out the phone isn’t eSIM compatible. They then have to deal with a CS_Agent to straight it out for them and purchase a SIM a anyway.
