I was talking to a friend who is with Telus who had gone into NW Ontario, southeast of Kenora. He could not get a signal even though the Telus service map showed that Telus reached customers in that area. Has any one else had connection issues in areas that are on the coverage map with Telus?

Another friend uses Rogers and had LTE in that same spot. Since Telus uses the TBay Tel/Bell towers, it should be the ame for both friends in the same location.

@RussDirks - Best not to usually go with the carrier approximations of coverage.
It could be 1km further, or 1km back.
Best to try look here: https://www.ertyu.org/steven_nikkel/cancellsites.html?lat=49.894634&lng=-92.911377&zoom=6&type=Roadm...
But for (Somewhat) the best coverage in Northern Ontario try TBayTEL. Some places don't have coverage but TBayTEL has.
(Note: Bell & TELUS share towers)
Also don't "Bear" me because the Alberta & B.C. rockies have the worst coverage in the world to me!

@RussDirks I’ve only found this to happen to me if I’m in the woods along some power lines / logging roads
