Secure account

Hi,

If I think that my cell number has been compromised, can a PM agent secure my account against fraudsters. And what info does the agent need from me to do that. Thanks

Why you think your number is compromised?

If you think someone called from your phone number for spam calls, then you number is not really compromised.  It is something called Caller ID Spoofing

If you think you are victim of Sim fraud , them you need to get a.new sim card and change to it

Pm is using 2FA to protect all accounts and would not do extra to protect or secure particular account

Ok, but what will that agent do to secure my account? He or she said it can be secured if they have access to my account. Thanks.

@foffe  The questions they are asking are legit. And definitely necessary for you to answer to be able to access Your account.  If anyone ask a question to CS_agent , this is the standard reply to ensure that only you are able to move past this step. Hope this helps

This is what I received from an agent after I basically asked  the same question:

Re: Contact agent

Hi there,

To have access and secure your account I need the following;
- the Public Mobile phone number
- the last four digits of the registered credit card
- the Public Mobile account number, begins with 1000000
- the full billing address with postal code
- the email address currently registered on the account

@foffe  Curious to know what leads you to this conclusion of having your phone number compromised?  PM account is as safe as others, (bell, Roger’s etc). If you feel your number is being used by others to spoof call, you are not alone, as even my own number called me once or twice before, but it was a short lived experience and the bot moved on. If it’s more serious, you can change your own phone number (up to 4 times per month) in your my account login. Sadly, the new number will most likely be added to the circle of scam calls eventually and you may not be able to stay on top of it. Side note- You can also set up alerts on your credit card to notify you of all purchases and this can help to thwart fraud as well.
