SMS issue

My bank in Romania sends me SMS to login into my account but I do not receive the SMS. Their support team said that Public Mobile might block the SMS. How this issue can be fixed?

hi @MaiaH

both @Cheetah24 and @softech are correct with security  code sent by international banks

Ask them if they can send via email instead, of if they allow authenticator app

please note that international shortcode text, like 2FA text from overseas banks, are not guaranteed., it is a hit or miss. Regular international text are ok but not shortcodes.  It might work on some providers sometime and experience show it will broke sometime

only Canadian shortcode text found here are guaranteed

Also, if your just ported in your number, regular Canadian shortcode text might delay 3 to 7days.   Some banks  put the delay on purpose in case of sim fraud

My personal experience is that SMS unfortunately (I am talking about international SMS like this) is a bit unreliable. I had to interact a lot with SMS codes from another country and the best solution I found was to get a SIM card from that country to solve all these issues. Sometimes the SMS gateways that they use only work with SMS to local numbers not numbers from other countries and I've had this same issue where my Canadian number don't receive confirmation SMS from other countries.

No PM doesn’t block 2FA codes. If you are a new member on PM, it may take a few days for it to work.
