I need to input a SIM name on my phone. Do I enter my name or Public Mobile?

@agiudice Where it asks you to put SIM name? I assume it is not a critical step but a device level thing.
and you are not talking about APN, right?

@agiudice - oh, maybe it's locked?
Try 1234, see if that works.
If you try too many attempts it will lock, and you will need Customer Support help to unlock it.
If you got to this point contact CSA. Two ways to contact CSA:
1- Put in a ticket through SIMon Bot (usually faster method to get in contact with the Public Mobile Customer Support) by clicking on the bottom, right chat bubble.
OR

But, if this is a locked phone contact the previous provider to have it unlocked?
Or, Samsung directly if a Samsung phone.
Does the SIM work in another device?
