Hello,
I just purchased a used iPhone froma friend, and I am trying to switch to use it. However, when I put my Public Mobile SIM chip into the used iphone, it shows this message:
-------------------
SIM is locked - 1 attempt remaining
-------------------
I tried putting my iPhone unlock passcode into it, but that does not work. (I just restored the Iphone from iTunes backup.)
I logged into my Public Mobile online account, but I don't see anywhere to set the SIM passcode.
What should I do?

So now I can't use either phone any more.
How can I unlock the SIM?
The default SIM card PIN on all Public Mobile sim cards is 1234. If this doesn't work and you enter one more incorrect code, I beleive that you're going to need to ask moderators for your SIM card's PUK.
