SIM Card activation

I believe my Sim card has been activated as I received a text from public saying welcome and that I will receive email confirmation soon. Do I now replace my old SIM card with the new one from public, or wait until the email has been sent?

@H4ttieF1tz   put your PM sim card into a phone.  Test calling your number and see if PM sim rings

It might not ring right a way, no worry, porting could take another 2 hours after you replied YES.  So, reboot your phone with the PM sim inside every 30 mins and try incoming calls again

hello, I am porting a number and my old provider texted me asking for approval for the transfer which I did. So I can put my public SIM card in now?
