Do NOT click on the link NOR do anything on it. This number that the SMS got sent to me is on Public Mobile, but is a TELUS number.

@BKNS27 - Yes, I once was selling an iPad mini 2nd gen and there was an interested seller... that was from North Dakota / Minnesota area (For starters, I live in Alberta) and the buyer asked if his friend can pick it up, he is from... Winnipeg. He also asked for a couple gift cards so we definitely knew it was a scam.
And yes, those scam messages are probably either: 1. Person has multiple accounts to scam. 2. Sophisticated Scam.

Thanks for the heads up.
I placed some stuff on the Facebook Marketplace and I got messages from 4 different buyers right away.
All of them with the same story word for word indicating they are out of town and returning on December 21 and if I would take e-transfer as a payment.
Red flags came up and reported the buyers as scam.
