I have the $50 Canada/US plan and when I'm in the US I keep getting a message I'm roaming and need an add on. Why does this happen ?

I seem to remember getting it when the phone switches from one carrier to the other and back. Whatever. It doesn't cost anything.

You should only get that message once per trip, unless of course your hanging out right around the border, in which case the phone could toggle back and forth between US and Canadian towers. As @softech noted, it's a standard text everyone gets. Just ignore it.

The phone should auto navigate to a roaming partner network when in the US if you have settings on auto.

@Fuse_4651 it is just a promo text for everyone, without or without roaming plan or add-on, you can just ignore
