Hello, just wondering do you guys think its better to keep my rewards or switch to points. I am saving $5 in rewards. Cause i am looking at the new $40 plan that is 4G, looks really interesting.

Thanks.

Rewards! You can spend less on your plan and save that money.

You earn more on the old rewards system

The main difference is Loyalty reward vs Anniversary point.  With loyalty reward, you can earn $5 /cycle after you completed your 5th year with PM, that's $60 in saving a year.  On the new Public Point, you earn only 10 points (= $10) on the anniversary regardless of how many years you are with PM

So, Stay on the old system

I understand that Public Mobile may have felt the need for the change to points, but I'm sure that they never expected customers to catch on so quickly how much worse the new system is. The spreadsheet that they provided mysteriously stopped at 2 years, a point in time when it would become very obvious that the new system is worse in almost every case.

Don’t get caught up on the reference to points in the plans descriptions.

A few folks thought they ‘had to’ move over to points when changing plans.

 You don’t…. yet 🤫

Look through today's Community posts..there's a guy who says if he can't go back to Rewards, he's leaving Pm for somewhere else.

At least you are smart enough to ask questions before opting out of Rewards.

My opinion...never voluntarily opt out of Rewards in favour of Points...ever.

If you want the $40 / 4G plan that's fine...just don't opt outta Rewards.

You can still switch to the $40 4GB LTE plan and still keep your old rewards.

Do not switch.  You will save more money with the old rewards system.  Loyalty and autopay rewards are better with the old grandfathered system.
