Referrals

Hi,

I learned about Public Mobile and introduced it to my coworker who have never heard of PM  and before I sign myself up, she signed up two weeks before me. My question is, am I eligible for the referal bonus since she signed up first but I was the one introduced it to her?

FYI, I checked with the Mods and they said.

"It's an issue that can happen (it will give an error message when your referee is entering your number in the activation form) as it's possible that there was an issue with the porting or a glitch and the number was not yet in the Public Mobile list of active users. 

However, usually it works right away and there is no time required to have your number recognize as eligible to refer friends  "

I don't know if you can know, until a referal doesn't actually happen.  I suppose your best optoin would be to send a private message to the @CS_Agent account, asking if they can ensure your ported in number is available.

I'm sure this is a regular step that normally happens within in a 24-48 period, however, when I signed up, it was a hugely succesful promo plan that clogged support efferts for a long period of time.  A huge backlog occurred.

Things normally run very smoothly.  I'm coming up on my 2nd Anniversary in a few months... very satisified here.

How do you know if your number is on the list?

As @ShawnC13 mentions, yes, must be completed at signup.

When a friend of mine attempted to sign up days folllowing my sign-up, the referal failed as my ported in phone number was not in the allowed list of 'PM Phone Numbers'.

When I asked for the referal to be added, the moderators were unable to add, as they have no tool to do so.

However, my number has been added to the list, so all referals afterwards have been added properly.

There are no exceptions it is stated that all referrals must be done at the time of activation

@Autumn now you can referral to your friends and family, to get referrals rewards or join the commuinty get rewards

The person has to put your number in when they activate their account. So probably not unless they make exceptions; you'd have to ask a mod

No... The person when signing up has to enter your phone number when they sign up. She signed up two weeks before you. You could have used her number as a referral but then she'd get the discount not you.
