Hello,
I signed up my wife for public mobile yesterday with the $5/month refer-a-friend bonus for 5 months that I got a text message about. This bonus has not appeared in either of our payment sections yet. Is there something else I have to do to get it?

the exact same thing happened with me. I noticed after more tha a month that we did not get those $5 rewards and I created a ticket for cs_agent and they issued $10 after some back and forth messages and lot of verification. still I did not get monthly $5 credits and I noticed that after 5-6 months and created a ticket again and again after lot of verification they issued credit of remaining bonus to my account but it involved wasted too much time.

@wall-daniel the special friend referral bonus $5 for 5 months will start be applied onto eligible account on the first week of Oct. So, you will see it on your My Account as Available Fund sometime next week
Also, the regular $10 Friend referral on the new account will be applied within 72 hours of the activation
