The Refer a Friend Reward
How does it work?
It’s simple: you will earn $1 every 30 days for each friend you refer to Public Mobile who enters your phone number in the Referral box during activation. Plus, your friend will receive a one-time credit of $10. You’ll continue to earn Rewards on plan renewal dates as long as your friends remain active customers. If you’re on a 90-day plan, this means you’ll earn $3 every 90 days for each friend.
How do I refer a friend?
When your friend is activating their SIM card, they will need to enter your 10-digit Public Mobile phone number. If your friend forgets to enter your number, we can’t manually apply the credit to your account, so make sure they do it right the first time! Below is what the referral field looks like:
Who Can Earn Rewards?
To be eligible to earn Rewards, you must have:
1. A Rewards-eligible plan:
2. An active account:
Considerations for Rewards-ineligible Customers
Customers who are on a Legacy / Pioneer or 10-day plan not eligible for Rewards. If you are a Legacy / Pioneer customer and switch to a Rewards-eligible plan, please note:
How many Rewards can I earn?
You can earn up to your current plan value in Rewards, reducing it to $0. Once you reach the value of your plan, you will not be able to accumulate any further Rewards in that plan period, and you will not be able to save Rewards and apply them to future months.
Here’s an example of how you could get your plan down to $0:
You will earn $5 in Loyalty Rewards + $2 in AutoPay Rewards + $2 Community Rewards + 36 referrals at $1/30 days. That’s $45 in total Rewards, and a sweet $0 plan!
When are Rewards applied to my account?
Here are some things you should keep in mind about our Rewards program:
How do I know when I've earned Rewards?
Whenever a reward has been successfully applied to your account, we will send you a text message to let you know. To check the Rewards you’ve earned, log in to Self-Serve and check the ‘My Rewards’ section in the Overview Tab. You can also select the ‘My Rewards’ button and see all the Rewards you’ve earned since joining Public Mobile.
Below is an example of what you would see from the Overview tab, for a customer who has been with Public less than 1 year, and has no referrals:
Below is an example of what the ‘My Rewards’ section looks like, for the same account:

I am supposed to have a 25 credit on my account & its not showing what do i do?

No rewards are applied to inactive accounts...as far as transfering balances to other lines dont think so...

ok so i have 2 questions
1. TRUE OR FALSE: this is so i keep my number and account alive (avoiding the 90 day number expiry)
if my monthly rewards are $25 and my plan is $40 a month.
e.g. month 1 i will be $15 short and it will be in inactive state
month 2 i will have $50 in rewards, will $40 will be used for account and ill have an active line
month 3 i will have $35 in rewards, and account will be inactive
month 4 i will have $ $60 in rewards, $40 will be used for account and i will have an active line
2. is it possible to get more rewards than the plan? so rewards could reach $50 a month but plan is only $20 a month?
trying to see if i can transfer extra points to other lines. or store them for future plan changes
Thank you in advance

@ksoosiah, you and your friend will not get the $25 each. You did not activate online.
in Store activations are not a part of this deal.

It will take up to 72 hours for credit to show up in both accounts. Usually within 24 hours though.

Hello all,
I signed up with PM today and used a friends' referral code. I understand with the ongoing promotion, that we both will get $25 credits. Question is, how long does it take for this to show on my self serve account?
Thanks.

I thought it was for that month only but I have not received it for the next month after that as well.
Kindly help
Login to your account.
Click on the "My Rewards" button.
From the "My Rewards" screen, click on the black triangle symbol couple of time. It will display a list of phone number of your referral. Is the phone number of the referral still there? If yes, send a private message to moderator for help.

@Wadespublic, when you send that message, include the Wal-Mart address so that they know which location it is.
Truly sorry that you and your daughter have been victims of this ongoing issue.

Thank you

This has been going on for a while. It's how I guessed you had bought from a Walmart. Public Mobile has long since been made aware of these things.
They *might* do something for you after the fact but they have no obligation to.
You can send ONE (1) private message to them here and include your phone number and PIN to minimize back and forth identity verification delays.
Forget your PIN? Then you'll need 3 of either of these pieces of information you used when you signed up: full address, birthdate, last 4 digits of CC you might have used, email address on the account, alternative phone number you might've entered when you signed up. Or, in addition, either of these to get to 3: last payment amount and date, last add-on bought and date.
And of course your question/problem.
Then hopefully they will get back to you as soon as they can between M-F 9-9 (ET) and Sat-Sun 9-7:30 (ET). But it could be up to a couple days.
Depending on your notification settings, you would get an email notifying you of a reply. Get back here and see a red blob over the little envelope in the upper right of your screen and click on it to see the message.

As far as I’m concerned this is not only misleading by the connections employees of Walmart but reflects very badly on Public Mobile and they’re customer service if new and existing customers can be taken advantage of.

Your daughter should see the $1/30 day reward.
What also sucks for you is the. next. day. there was an in-store promo.
Happened to me too. I signed up and then got into the community here and saw a couple promos go by.

I bought my SIM card in store and was told by employee that he would set it up for me on his computer but that we would both still qualify for the credit. Was I misled by this employee?

I recieved mine in 24 hours, so if you did not get yours there might be a delay or you didn't do it properly and need to PM a moderator.

No. It is not normal. You should get the credit within 72 hours. Usually next morning.
Did he activated his plan in-store or online?
You get only $1/30days cycle if he activated his plan in-store.
How much credit did he received?
$10 - he was activated in-store.
$25 - send a private message to moderator for help.
