Unsure if the difference in OS is causing this problem but I find whenever I receive a video from my friend on iPhone to my android the video appears smaller and very pixelated. I also find texts take longer to receive and send as well between the two. Anyone know if there is something I can do to remedy this?

Thank you. I think you are right. I'll just need to ask them to send things that way or use whatsapp like @BKNS27 suggested. Thanks all!

It seems to be most iPhones. I think you and @srlawren has it right in this case Its better to just get them to send videos another way since they are getting compressed over MMS. Thank you!

They are videos taken from their phones not YouTube videos.

Yep that happens when you use MMS for a video file--it was intended for low res photos from about 30 years ago. It compresses the absolute heck out of the video since the mechanism was never meant for that kind of payload size. It's basically unusable.
Easy fix: have the iPhone person send you a link to the video in their iCloud. Then you click the link and will view the video in your browser for a significantly improved experience.

Are you YouTube videos?
Haven’t notice the quality of the YouTube video when I click Share icon.

@raeoffrost was that always an issue with any iPhone users? or just one particular iPhone user?
how they send you the video? via MMS? So, if they sent you via other means, like Whatsapp, it will be good?

I can't comment on reason for poor video quality.
I don't have any problem texting between iPhone and android. Texting between the two is almost instant here.
