Receipt & Actual Charges Different

Hey community! Just returned PM after some years. Lots awesome perks here have stayed, especially here!

Question!

when I signed up I was charged $34 + HST of $4.42 = total of $38.42

but I checked receipt it’s $34 + $1.7 (GST) + $2.04 (PST) = total of $37.74

trying to figure out what the math went…

HI @Freemelon you were charging Ontario tax at the beginning because in activation, payment comes before number choosing, so, it will be charged based on the profile address

But after you picked the SK area code, you will be charged SK rate from now on

Provincial tax rates differ from one province to the next. That would explain the change.

Thank you! That is what I thought not the address. I have Sask area code but was charged Ontario taxes.

After tax $38.42  is $34 +  Ontario rate 

After tax 37.74 is based on Sask. rate

PM charged the amount based on the phone number area code and NOT the address on your profile.  So, do you have an Ontario phone number or Sask phone number with PM?
