I did finally get the email option, was sent a code, I plugged it in, but it still directed me to a confirm identity via text to the wrong number. I am so frustrated, I have been in this loop for a while now.

Yes, you need to have validate it at least once with SMS

but no worries, message support agent and they will help to change the phone number first, the you can get the code and validate with text
