I wasn't sure when to switch to the Public Mobile SIM card after I confirmed with my previous provider that I authorized the transfer. It said it could take a couple of hours, so I waited. In less than two hours I had a text from Public Mobile - "Hey, it's Public Mobile. To successfully complete your number transfer request, please restart your phone." At this point, I turned off the phone and inserted the Public Mobile SIM card and restarted my phone. It was successful as "Public Mobile" is displayed at the top left corner of my screen.

@Annejjs : That is really nice. I didn't know they would do that. Very interesting that you chose to wait it out and _then_ switched SIM's.

@Annejjs Yes, the process is not bad as long as the SMS is replied within 90 minutes.
